Free will and consciousness are the two most precious gifts we share with the Divine.

It is because of the freedom we have been given that we must undergo this course of learning, the myriad incarnations in numberless dimensions, so that we can learn how to hold our own stability and individuality in the face of the awesome power and freedom we possess.

The ability to explore the infinite carries with it the risk of forgetting oneself.

A consciousness must mature in order to not be overwhelmed. This is why the Oversoul takes on simple, limited and conditioned existences. These lives are crucial in gathering the critical experience necessary to understand the true nature of the One.

Progress is about spiritual and emotional purification, it has nothing to do with time. We appear to reincarnate into various lives sequentially, but this perspective of linear time is only valid from within our physical universe. In the larger reality, everything happens simultaneously. The Divine Mind is in an eternal state of becoming. Linear time is true only in our dimension.

Our freedom has meaning only because of our awareness of our own existence. Soul is able to gaze upon itself. Our entire universe is a reflection of the Absolute in the eternal waters of Divine Substance.

The danger is for Soul, like Narcissus, to stay trapped gazing at its own reflection. We are free to do this for as long as we please, until eventually we finally awaken from our long and forgetful slumber and move beyond our incarnations to new states of being.
